Hi, Has anybody managed to assign the Embraer engine start button to a keyboard or saitek throttle quadrant key?
I'm trying to get the engine start buttons on my saitek throttle switches.
With thanks

I know it is a personal preference but I am just curious... why would you want it less realistic? There is a knob animated and working great for engine start. Why to make things not realistic, there is no other button/switch for that in real life.
Thank you for your response Andrzej - I feel honoured!
I fully accept that the aircraft is very realistic and don't doubt that in any way. However, when I am flying it, I am trying to put any centre console commands on the Saitek throttle quadrant, so that I am reflecting real flying ergonomics as far as possible.
In other words, I was aiming for the saitek levers to mimic the throttles, speed brakes and flaps. I was then hoping I could get the switches on the saitek unit to mimic the engine switches and other switches that are on the centre console, so that I would use my right hand to use these switches rather than move the view on the screen and then use a mouse to switch them.....This for me would be more realistic.
In the same way, I have the addon that casts the FMC to a realistically sized amazon fire mounted in the real position just in front of the throttles.
We have personal demands to make our flightsimming more realistic in our own minds don't we?
Anyhow, having struggled through virtually every command in XPlane, I am unable to find one that maps the SSG ejet engine switch. Any suggestions welcome, otherwise I shall continue to use the mouse as I always have!
Thank you again Andrezej.

Hi Christopher,
I did not know the whole story behind your setup, I was just thinking you wanted to assign the start button to keyboard which agree is the user preference and as long as it works for user it is good.
Realistic is a quite subjective word and depends on circumstances.
Unfortunately there is not listed command for that.
I would give it a try and send email to SSG support asking for it.
I am not a developer for E-jets by the way, just trying to keep lines of communication open. :-)
